All F-150® engines now deliver their power through an advanced 10-speed automatic transmission. The 10-speed delivers impressive overall performance, with enhanced acceleration at the low and mid ranges of the power band. With the available 3.5L PowerBoost™ Full Hybrid engine, the transmission is specially modified to include an integrated 33kW electric motor. Selectable Drive Modes instantly modify the Electronic Stability Control System and Traction Control based on the type of terrain you encounter. Each mode has its own avatar and theme that display in your cluster. 4x2 models offer Selectable Drive Modes: Normal, ECO, Sport, Tow/Haul, Slippery and Trail. 4x4 models offer Normal, ECO, Sport, Tow/Haul, Deep Snow/Sand and Mud/Ruts. You can then monitor and track the wattage via the SYNC® 4 screen or FordPass™ App. You don’t have time for ifs, ands or buts, you got stuff to pull and you need a truck with the muscle to do it. Ford F-150® has it with 14,000 lbs. of available towing capacity. Reducing weight is an effective way to increase payload. As a matter of fact, the F-150 body and bed are built of lightweight, high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy. F-150® trucks have toughness in its bones, because they are built with a fully boxed frame made of high-strength steel and large cross sections. And while it’s undoubtedly strong and rigid, this frame is also relatively lightweight because many of the components are fabricated using a state-of-the-art roll-forming process. The Ford F-150® has the only high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body in the Ford lineup. A heat-treating process is used to harden the aluminum alloy. Working with aluminum alloy allows an increase in gauge (or thickness) where needed to achieve strength without increasing weight. The lighter aluminum alloy allows for a higher power-to-weight ratio — plus available maximum payload and tow ratings. The high-strength, military-grade aluminum that makes the rest of F-150® body tough as nails means you get a bed that can stand up to anything the workday brings. It doesn’t see a showroom floor until it’s been put through the harshest tests that earn it the Built Ford Tough® title. To prove the F-150® delivers the performance customers demand, it has to make the grade.
