The 2022 Explorer gets a turbo-four engine that is capable of generating up to 300 horsepower in terms of results. It also has a V6 engine option that can yield up to as much as 400 horsepower. Meanwhile, the four-cylinder engine under the hood of the GMC generates only up to 228 horsepower, with another engine option resulting in 310 horsepower.
