Loaded with lots of cargo and passenger space, the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse also has a punchy V6 engine under its hood. It has an easy-to-use infotainment system too. There are no major changes when compared to its 2022 model, though.

Design & Style

Simple and spacious inside, the 2023 Ford Edge knows how to impress not just in terms of interior, but exterior design as well. The 2023 Chevrolet Traverse tries hard to make the interior attractive, but it does not really compare to the modern fashion projected by its Ford counterpart. It has some soft touches here and there, but there are plenty of hard and cheap plastics inside that makes it quite a disappointment. It sits eight, a configuration you can achieve if you leave the back seats to kids. The back opens only up to 23 cubic feet of space when all rows are occupied.

Technology & Safety

One of the first things that will attract your attention when you get inside the 2022 Ford Edge is its 12-inch vertical touch screen. This is used in consonance with the SYNC 4A Software, an interface whose flawless operations are praised by users. It is gifted with six speakers, and aside from smartphone integration, also comes standard with Amazon Alexa. Included in the list of safety amenities for the ride are rearview camera, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, pedestrian detection, the MyKey feature for secondary drivers and a lot more.

Using only a seven-inch touch screen display for its user-friendly infotainment system, the Traverse gets some praise for its responsive set-up. It has six USB ports, six speakers, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi hot spot, as well as integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For safety, it offers the ones listed above, but it falls short when it comes to providing a comprehensive list of features in this regard. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert are not part of its standard list of features too.

Performance

The Edge's four-engine setup gives it a rating of 250 horsepower with a V6 engine available to rate 335 horsepower. The Chevy only gets 310 horsepower for its V6 base configuration.

There are a lot of great things to love in the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse, but it scores lower in terms of engine performance and technologies when compared to that of the 2023 Ford Edge. This is why this battle goes to the Ford.
