Exterior Design

The 2023 Ford EcoSport has a sleek, sporty design that will turn heads. It comes in three different trims: SE, SEL, and ST. The SE features standard power windows and door locks along with 16-inch wheels, automatic headlights, and more.

The 2023 Mazda CX-3 offers excellent visibility thanks to its low beltline (the distance between vehicle body panels), allowing drivers better sightlines when making turns or merging onto highways/interstates. It also comes standard with LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and cornering fog lights for increased safety when driving at night or during inclement weather conditions such as rain storms or snow flurries!

Interior Design

The interior of the Ford EcoSport is a big step up from its predecessor, with more space and better design. The 2023 Ford EcoSport and 2023 Mazda CX-3 come with standard electronic stability control, which helps prevent rollovers. The Ford also has an optional rearview camera available on the Mazda but not included in its base price.

The EcoSport has a few extra features that make it more tech-friendly than the CX-3, including Apple CarPlay compatibility and a USB port for charging your phone while on the road. But if you want to use Android Auto or connect your device through Bluetooth instead of USB, you'll need to upgrade both vehicles' infotainment systems-and those options are costly!

Performance

The 2023 Ford EcoSport has a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 166 horsepower and 149 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters, which comes standard on all models except for base models (which have a five-speed manual). The EPA estimated fuel economy is 27 mpg city/34 highway/29 combined.

The Mazda CX-3 also has two available engines: a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4 cylinder that produces 155 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque or a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated 6 cylinder producing 129 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 145 lb/ft at 4000 rpm (European model).

The Bottom Line

In the end, the 2023 Ford EcoSport is the better car. It has more power and better fuel economy, and it's loaded with features that make it a joy to drive. The Mazda CX-3 is a good little SUV in its own right, but it just doesn't measure up to its competitor in most categories.
